The MISD Board of Trustees approved the restructuring of the southern portion of Ellisor Elementary's attendance zone. Ellisor students affected by the rezoning will be attending Smith Elementary beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. In this case as with all previous attendance zone changes, Magnolia ISD has included a Grandfather Clause which offers parents/guardians the option of keeping their child at Ellisor through the 5th grade. This clause requires that parents/guardians complete an Intra-District Transfer Form and provide transportation for their child to and from Ellisor. The Intra-District Transfer Form is only for students who currently attend Ellisor Elementary; or it may include their sibling(s) as long as they have at least one school year of concurrent enrollment at Ellisor Elementary. The form will be available March 1, 2010, and it will be due back to the ESC Student Services Department no later than May 1, 2010.
